Emotional ambivalence

The goal of the series:
To allow the viewer to touch the deep understanding of their emotions, to accept their ambivalence: the fact that everyone can experience contradictory emotions at the same moment in time. To love and to be angry with the person you love. To be happy and sad that it will soon be over, etc

Each portrait consists of two halves, one positive and one negative (as it is commonly called). Putting the two halves together, the viewer is confronted with a whole portrait, sometimes frightening, but mesmerizing in its naturalness.
Each emotion in the portrait is portrayed through specific facial expressions, which will allow the viewer to recognize themselves through outward expressions of emotion

For a more immersive self-exploration, the viewer has the opportunity to change and move parts of the portraits to find combinations of conflicting emotions that are close to themselves.
