Amulets of Digital Age
According to the latest CROS “national anxiety index” research, the onset of neural networks and artificial intelligence is beginning to worry people. It was first recorded in 2023. Researchers assume that this will turn into a long-term trend.
As an artist who works with the contradictions and multifaceted nature of the world, I suggest we draw on the strength and experience of our forebears, who learned to manage their fears through ornaments and patterns. In the digital age there are anxieties that our ancestors did not have, and, accordingly, amulets from them are not created.
In the series of works “Amulets of the digital age” I create new patterns for the recently appeared fears of the era of scientific progress, using Khokhloma painting, familiar to the Russian eye and warming the Russian heart.

“Dialogue of Intelligences” is a pattern that helps to overcome the fear of artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is represented in the form of microchips, transistors. Natural intelligence in the form of natural elements.
Being in contact both intellects complement each other and make a unique pattern of modern life.

The picture “Connection of Worlds” is about coping with the fear of the contradiction between the quantum (micro) world and the macro world.
We still do not understand how the quantum world is organized, although we ourselves and the macro world consist of quanta. Thus pandemics, atomic weapons as a manifestation of quantum world cause horror to many people, we should learn to live with it.
I offer a pattern that will help us to overcome this fear, to find ways of interaction between macro and micro, which will help us to live more consciously, using the best manifestations of both worlds.

The painting “Soborovanie” (from “get together”) is my reflection on what will help us to overcome all these fears. To become holistic, to interact with the world even if it scares us, to learn how to cope with it.
The picture represents the World Tree of Slavs, which is divided into the upper part of Prav, where the gods live, the middle part of Yav, it's us people, and the lower part of Nav, where our unconscious, dark component lives.
At the top of the tree depicts Oranta - mother protector, which in a surprising way moved from paganism to Christianity. Only in Russia there is the Mother of God depicted as Oranta without a baby in her arms.
We are different and when we come together, we have super strength. We have different characters, dreams and goals, but we know that our emotions are brighter and stronger together, because together we can do more.
